Deb has been a foundational member of the LCL team since 2020. She is respected for her academic contributions to learning-centred approaches and educational development, and holds a PhD in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the University of British Columbia. She supports the team as an Instructional Designer, bringing an academic lens and a background in medicine to her roles. Deb is an executive member, facilitator, and trainer with the Instructional Skills Workshop Network, and a member of the International Coaching Federation.

At LCL, Deborah uses her expertise as a certified organizational coach to support clients during every stage of the Instructional Design process. She skillfully guides clients to clarify learning outcomes and hone in on the learner’s experience. She integrates neuroscience and adult education principles to create evidence-based, process-driven and engaging learning experiences.

Originally from Taiwan, Deb leverages her ability to navigate intercultural communication in her work. As a certified coach, she strives to live a value-aligned life, supporting others to activate their strengths and enhance their capacity towards meaningful goals.
