At LCL Group we believe that online learning should be accessible to all. This means we prioritize accessibility in all our products and services, whether it is required or not.

Our focus is to:

  • Work directly with people with disabilities as allies and partners.
  • Approach all work with people with disabilities or other audiences with this in mind: “Nothing about me, without me. Nothing about us, without us.”
  • Champion accessible online learning.
  • Model by example.
  • Support clients with accessible learning projects/products.
  • Hire and engage people with disabilities to consult on projects as part of our services.

We are committed to optimizing learning experience in these ways:

  • Optimized for people who use screen-reader technology.
  • All content can be navigated using a keyboard (keyboard shortcuts).
  • Links, headings, and tables are formatted to work with screen readers.
  • Images have alt tags.
  • Information is not conveyed by colour alone.
  • There is an option to increase font size (see tab on top right of screen).
  • Prioritized use of plain language.
  • Consultation with neurodiverse audiences in content and format.
