Accessible learning services
Providing accessible online learning for users of assistive technology and people with disabilities.

What is accessible online learning?
Optimized online learning experiences for all.
At LCL, we aim to provide barrier-free learning experiences. Creating optimized and inclusive online learning experiences is at the core of what we do.
We believe in the principle of “Nothing about us, without us” actively involving learners and stakeholders in the creation and refinement of our learning programs. By empowering your team and stakeholders, we help raise confidence and awareness, turning the aspiration for accessible learning into a reality.
Why design for accessibility?
At LCL, we believe in equality in learning and principles of Universal Design. That means that learning experiences are designed with all learners in mind, and optimize the learning content, functionality, and access points for all.
At LCL, accessibility isn’t an afterthought—it’s integral to every project from the start. Here’s what we promise:
- Perceivability, operability, understandability and robustness (P.O.U.R.)
- Continuously develop our awareness and practices around designing for learners with disabilities, neurodivergeance, and intersectional needs.
- Ensure all learning materials—from videos to PDFs—are designed with accessibility in mind, such as high colour contrast, compatibility with assistive technologies, closed captioning, and transcripts.
We collaborate closely with individuals with disabilities to review and refine our programs, guaranteeing an accessible experience for all learners. As partners and allies in accessibility advocacy, we’ve established ourselves as a trusted resource for inclusive online learning solutions.

Client story: EmploymentWorks
Self-directed eLearning for job seekers on the autism spectrum.
How LCL developed an asynchronous, self-directed version of EmploymentWorks and ensured that Autistic Canadians could access the program any time, from anywhere, in both official languages.
“Leah’s team came with a glowing recommendation from another not-for–profit in the inclusive employment space. Her team guided us through the process of creating an engaging eLearning program, which fit our budget and timeline.
Their expertise in developing eLearning courses was clear as they developed the content, held stakeholder engagement sessions, and together we successfully launched the EmploymentWorks Online.”
