Start to finish learning resource support
An inclusive employment resource bank
The Inclusive Workplace aims to improve workplace inclusion and accessibility for persons with an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With workplace challenges amplified by the pandemic, The Inclusive Workplace noticed a need for updated resources. They approached LCL with the goal of creating one knowledge hub to serve their three distinct user groups: job seekers and employees, employers, and employment agencies.
The Inclusive Workplace aimed to update and expand upon existing bilingual resources, as well as create a framework to host content for all three user groups. To best serve their stakeholders, they had strict accessibility guidelines they wanted to adhere to including universal design principles, reading levels, and digital literacy requirements.
With a variety of stakeholders to serve, The Inclusive Workplace sought after a custom, multi-modal learning portal that could meet the needs of their users, as well as a team to help guide them through the development process from start to finish.

Analysis to evaluation
The Inclusive Workplace’s ultimate goal is to increase access to jobs for persons with an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). LCL’s curriculum design support provided a framework for a wide range of stakeholders to to get the most out of resources offered.

Designing for impact
When learners’ needs and goals are considered early in the design process, they are more likely to benefit from, and enjoy, their learning experience. LCL’s design team provided learning path guidance on mediums that benefitted each user group. They also found a way to balance existing materials with new content they generated by working with subject matter experts (SME) in each area.
In order to be inclusive of diverse learning needs, these deliverables included SME interviews, multimedia content, and participant materials for The Inclusive Workplace eLearning courses. LCL also delivered custom microlearning, providing quick takeaways that professionals could easily implement into existing workflows.
Delivering to meet organizational goals
It takes a village to improve workplace inclusion and accessibility. For this reason, The Inclusive Workplace is committed to providing resources for all stakeholders involved. LCL supported this mission by delivering materials that catered to several different learning requirements.
